After 14 months leading our volunteer team, Tanya Chang was accepted to Duke University’s business program and will soon be heading to North Carolina! We’re excited for Tanya and grateful for all that she’s done for us at Food Shift. We will miss her greatly and know she’s going to make an amazing impact in her future work.
We’re happy to introduce our new Team Manager, Ciara Segura. Ciara is originally from South Texas and came out to the Bay Area to attend Stanford where she graduated in 2010. Afterward, Ciara spent a few years working in the Legal department at Google, began volunteering with various food-related organizations like La Cocina and Off The Grid, and developed a community service program for LGBTQ Google employees to cook lunches at Larkin Street Youth Services’ drop-in center. She recently left the tech industry and is now building a career around food security issue full time! Ciara is incredibly excited to work closely with Food Shift to expand their already impressive volunteer program!
