Alana Young

Development and Operations Associate

Alana graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Global Health where she focused her studies on understanding how the environment, food systems, and social justice interact to impact health. Her years of experience with UCSD’s Student Sustainability Collective and a student-run, social justice oriented service organization reinforced the importance of community sourced knowledge and asset-based grassroots solutions. Whether it involvesĀ recovering food with friends, cooking with family, tending to her small garden, or learning more about equitable and just food systems, food is at the center of Alana’s life and passions.
