Dorian currently volunteers on the Social Media team, managing Food Shift’s Twitter Page. He graduated from UC Davis receiving a B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. At the university, Dorian worked with the Institute of Transportation Studies to help leverage research on alternative fuels and transportation-linked climate change issues. Additionally, he participated in classes relating to nutrition science and food in American culture. There, he learned of the equity and health issues in the food system and the identities/responsibilities associated with food. He strongly believes that nutrition is an investment in one’s body and personal and social change can be achieved through sustainable agriculture. As result, he has fostered an interest in the food justice movement which brings him to Food Shift today. His ultimate goal is to pave a more sustainable future by balancing social equity and environmental responsibility.
In his free time, Dorian enjoys rock climbing, landscape photography, and blending kale smoothies.
