Lia Turk is a serial volunteer who first crossed paths with Food Shift via Dana at a nonprofit fundraising conference. She was immediately inspired by Food Shift’s positive, win-win mission. Newly relocated to the East Bay, she has been involved with an eclectic group of nonprofit organizations mostly on the SF Peninsula, from Stanford Program on International and Cross-cultural Education to Protect Our Defenders Foundation, and many others. Her efforts have ranged from communications/PR to writing/editing, outreach, event planning, and fundraising. Lia loves languages, travel, food/cooking/baking, and thrives when exploring ethnic food.
