Maly received her B.S. in Nutritional Science and Dietetics at UC Berkeley and is currently completing her Dietetic Internship as the next step towards her goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Her interests lie primarily in community nutrition, food access, and barriers to at-risk and underserved populations. Whether tackling the issue of food insecurity or food waste, she understands the importance of providing a platform for people to learn and make informed decisions about food. In this way, each member of our community can be educated and accountable for the actions and decisions that can lead to a more equitable food system. Maly is an Oakland native who enjoys weekend hikes along the beautiful Bay Area trails, picnics, and spending hours in the kitchen creating elaborate meals out of mystery items from the fridge.
