Food Shift is an active participant in Alameda County’s All In To End Hunger 2020 Campaign, a bold but realistic campaign to end hunger in Alameda County by 2020. We are working with 30+ community partners on an integrated approach involving policy reform, economic development, and deep food systems change.
Alameda County initiated the All In Campaign to End Hunger by 2020, a campaign with the bold but realistic goal to end hunger in Alameda County by 2020. This campaign brings together a diverse working group of organizations and individuals to set goals, raise funds, and carry out action in pursuit of a hunger-free Alameda County. Food Shift plays an important role at the table, providing insight into the ways in which reducing wasted food can increase food access, while also providing economic and environmental benefit. Food Shift has participated in these meetings over the past year and continues to do so, building relationships with key stakeholders and submitting recommendations for the county.
