Tips from Food Shift

Reduce Wasted Food

Reduce Your Food Waste. Make a Big Impact.

Up to 35% of all food produced in the U.S. is wasted. Unlike many environmental issues, households are the biggest category: Americans waste about 25% of all food purchases. You can send less food to the landfill and save money (~$3000/year per family!) in the process by making a game plan to reduce wasted food in your home, at the market, and at school.

Take action today—small steps add up to big change.
